Great low profile PFD for SUP.

A really nice, slim fitting buoyancy aid from the experts at Palm. Sizing seems to be as-described, with the device snugging-up nicely when the clips are fastened and straps pulled tight (M/L size, 40" chest, 36" waist).
There's as much ventilation as you're likely to get with a buoyancy aid, with minimal coverage on the shoulders and at the sides. The front pocket is small enough not to get obtrusive, but big enough to hold a full sized smartphone, emergency whistle, fin key and other small essentials. There's a small fabric loop in there for threading a cord through too.
This model has been designed for SUP use, and it does the job brilliantly. It's easy to forget you are wearing it. The longer front and rear panels would likely work well in an open canoe with bench seats, but try before you buy if you're planning on any use that involves seating with backrests, spraydecks, etc. There may be better options out there for those applications.
I was originally after the grey option, but am pleased I went for the red. It's just dark enough to look classy & understated, but with enough colour to stand out and look good.
