What will you be assessed on?

Following the Canoeing Ireland Level 3 River Skills syllabus, we'll look for:

• Boat Control & Positioning - Smooth efficient manoeuvres, to include breaking in & out and ferry gliding
• Safety & Awareness - Reading the river, anticipating hazards, keeping both you and the group safe
• Confidence in Grade II / II+ water - Controlled paddling in a variety of features and conditions
• Self Rescue Skills - Confident swimming, the roll, equipment recovery and supporting others

• Are a solid Level 3 Kayak Rivers Skills paddler
• Have spent time on grade II / II+ rivers
• Are ready to take the next step towards leadership or advanced whitewater paddling
